The Refreshery

In collaboration with Goodnature, we developed the branding for The Refreshery to feel nostalgic yet modern, looking at ways to incorporate a retro soda shoppe feel into a new concept. The Refreshery focuses on providing a third space to the Cary community that doesn't rely on alcohol or caffeine consumption, but rather a feeling of ease as you relax and enjoy a truly tasty beverage. The phrase 'Something Good to Sip On' helped to drive our design process as we developed the visual identity.
Because a beverage focused space that isn't reliant on alcohol or caffeine is a relatively new concept, we knew that strategic marketing and organic word of mouth promotion would be essential for generating awareness. As a result, we knew the logo suite had to be all-encompassing, working on a variety of platforms and good for use on many different promotional items. Different shapes, orientations, and curated font pairings can be found across this branding suite, while fun nature and beverage imagery round out a selection of strategic assets. Knowing we wanted to communicate a calm, relaxing space, I pulled several shades of blues and greens that worked interchangeably across all executions.
