I have been painting and drawing since I was a child, and started to get serious around age thirteen about pursuing art. In 2012 after my sophomore year of high school, I attended a summer program at Savannah College of Art and Design, where I took figure drawing and mixed media courses. The following year I participated in the Spoleto Study Abroad Program in Spoleto, Italy in their visual arts course. I again studied figure drawing and portraiture. My senior year of high school, my portfolio was awarded a Regional Scholastic Gold Key for 2014, and I received the Art Instructor’s Award from my teachers. I attended college at Furman University in Greenville, SC, where I developed my graphic design skills and continued courses in drawing and painting. I lent my design services to multiple campus organizations, and my first legitimate design job was working for the university’s Marketing and Communications Department starting in 2016. In 2018 I graduated with a BA in Studio Art, concentrating in graphic design.

I currently work as a graphic designer for Big Idea Group, where I create print and digital marketing materials for numerous clients, as well as pitching original concepts to clients and integrating innovative ideas within the brand standards of said clients. You can see more of what we do here.

On the weekends, I teach step-by-step acrylic painting classes for Wine and Design Charlotte, which is an unbelievably fun way to introduce people to painting. I am actively taking freelance work, both graphic design opportunities and fine art commissions. Other career goals of mine include illustrating picture books, learning how to tattoo, and becoming a creative director.

Let’s work together!
