I've read you should tailor your art to be 'one thing'.
One style, one common subject matter, a single audience you can target.
Personally, I'm not a fan of that. I find that the more you explore in medium, subject, and overall aesthetic, the more you strengthen your wheelhouse as an artist. In working as a full-time graphic designer, I also balance teaching acrylic painting classes, portrait commissions and exploring new ideas in the digital realm. I always welcome new artistic ventures, as well as ways creatively conquer business endeavors.
